Ticket price for sightseeing and folk customs sites have each been reduced by 30%, and the discount for travel groups visiting these sites must not go beyond this rate.<\/p>\n<p>Prices for special travel items has also been cut by 35% and that for travel groups must not be more than 40%. In order to prevent bribery, the above pricing does not include commission.<\/p>\n<p>Travel agencies believe that the lower price will benefit individual tourists As the profit for travel agencies and guides will be reduced as a result of this price adjustment, some individual guides might regain the loss by adding more shopping spots on their tours.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2006, 62 two-star and higher grade hotels in Hainan's Haikou signed a four-party agreement on hotel room rates with the Haikou Hotel Association, Haikou Tourism Bureau and Haikou Pricing Bureau.
