{"id":33843,"date":"2006-09-04T08:57:08","date_gmt":"2006-09-04T00:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2006\/09\/04\/shangri-la-to-open-its-first-hotel-in-japan\/"},"modified":"2006-09-04T08:57:08","modified_gmt":"2006-09-04T00:57:08","slug":"shangri-la-to-open-its-first-hotel-in-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2006\/09\/04\/33843\/","title":{"rendered":"Shangri-La To Open Its First Hotel In Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shangri-La has signed a lease agreement with Mori Trust Company to fit-out and manage the Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, marking the group's Japanese debut.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Scheduled to open by March 1, 2009, the Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo will be located in the Marunouchi district, beside the Tokyo Station, the capital's only station with railway connections to all points in Japan.The Imperial Palace and the Nihonbashi area are 10-minutes walk away.<\/p>\n<p>Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo will occupy the top 11 floors of the 37-storey Marunouchi Trust Tower Main Building, presently under construction by TODA Construction Group Tokyo. The hotel's 204 guestrooms will be an average 50 square metres in size, and include 20 Junior Suites, three Executive Suites and one top floor Presidential Suite.
