The president and managing director, Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific, Paul Kirwin, says hotels currently in development include 11 hotels in India, four in China, three in Thailand, one in Fiji and a significant number of hotel management and licence agreements either in place or in the final stages of negotiation. As China and India are two of the world's fastest growing economies, this is where the company sees the greatest potential for growth.<\/p>\n<p>\"The past twelve months have seen a tremendous surge in arrivals and domestic travel in China and it has been reported that tourist demand in this market is likely to be double the global growth rate as we move into 2007.
