The much anticipated Grand Tower of The Westin Bund Center Shanghai officially opens today.<\/p>\n
The former residence tower underwent an extensive refurbishment since January and was transformed into 269 plush rooms and suites range from 45 to 72 sqm, giving the hotel a total of 570 exquisite rooms. Along with the guestrooms, the 18 new Executive Suites are designed to provide therapeutic retreats where guests can rebound from the rigors of the road.\u00a0 In addition, a lavish Emperor Suite of more than 250 square meters offers the ultimate in pampering as well as provides spectacular sweeping vistas of the glorious Huangpu River and the futuristic skyscrapers in Pudong.<\/p>\n
With rooms that offer IPTV–this is the first five star hotel in the city to offer this new television system–guests can also order movies and review their bills on flat-screen LCD TVs or listen to the tunes of their choice plugged into the MP3-friendly audio-visual system.<\/p>\n
