An American national and seasoned hotelier, Connelly brings with him over 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry, initially in America and for the past 10 years throughout Korea, Middle East and Hong Kong. Connelly has held senior management positions with hotels managed by Hilton International and ITT Sheraton Corporation. He has experience in multi-unit hotel management, food and beverage development and operations, and successful sales and marketing campaigns. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, Connelly was the General Manager at Oakwood Premier Coex Center in Seoul, the only five star boutique serviced apartment and hotel in the city.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"Ralph Wang\" id=\"image2689\" alt=\"Ralph Wang\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-ralphwang.gif\" \/>Ralph Wang, a Chinese native, is the new Deputy General Manager. He began his career with Holiday Inn Yangzi Chongqing in 1988 after his graduation from university. He has gained invaluable experience opening several hotels like Holiday Inn Urumqi, Crowne Plaza Chengdu and Crowne Plaza Shenzhen. Wang joined OCT Hotels Group in 2004 and was appointed as the Deputy General Manger\/owner\u2019s representative of Crowne Plaza Shenzhen. Starting from 2006, he was transferred to the same position at InterContinental Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" title=\"Tuncay Senli\" id=\"image2690\" alt=\"Tuncay Senli\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-senli.gif\" \/>Tuncay Senli has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage. He has 14 years of hospitality experience and specializes in the field of food and beverage management. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, he engineered restaurant and bar operations for Crowne Plaza Shenzhen, InterContinental Financial Street Beijing and other major hotel groups in six countries throughout Europe and Asia Pacific, including Hyatt International, Starwood and Pan Pacific Hotel and Resorts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"Lynn Ni\" id=\"image2691\" alt=\"Lynn Ni\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-ni.gif\" \/>The new Director of Administration is Lynn Ni. With an Executive Degree and Professional Managers Certification issued by China Hotels Association, Ni has worked in the hospitality industry for six years. She graduated from Political and Law Institute of China Political and Law University and her professional career has specialized mainly in the Rooms and Administration sectors. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, she was the Director of Administration for Crowne Plaza Shenzhen.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"Kenneth Law\" id=\"image2677\" title=\"Kenneth Law\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-law.gif\" \/>Kenneth Law is the pre-opening Director of Sales and Marketing at the hotel. Law hails from Singapore and joins InterContinental Shenzhen with 17 years of top-flight sales and marketing experiences. His hospitality experiences include playing important roles for the opening of Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and Holiday Inn Hangzhou, China, as well as serving as selling for several luxury brands including Raffles Hotel. Law most recently served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Singapore.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"David Loh\" id=\"image2692\" alt=\"David Loh\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-loh.gif\" \/>David Loh hails from Kuala Lumpur and is the new Director of Finance and Business Support. He started his career as a Bank Officer and has thirty years of finance under his belt. In 1988, he started his hospitality career with Royal Garden Hotel, Sydney, Australia, as Financial Controller and never looked back. His first assignment to China was with Jianguo Hotel in Beijing, followed by Sheraton Tianjin. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, Loh was the Director of Finance at Landmark Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" title=\"Thomas Li\" id=\"image2693\" alt=\"Thomas Li\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-thomasli.gif\" \/>The new Director of Engineering is Thomas Li. He has 18 years of hotel engineering experience including the opening of several properties. His first project began at Holiday Inn Chongqing as chief engineer followed by Holiday Inns Xinjiang and Yuyang, China. He was also consultant to many hotels and an associate professor of Chongqing University from 1995 to 2003. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, he was the Director of Engineering of Shenzhen Baihe Hotel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"Jane Chang\" id=\"image2694\" alt=\"Jane Chang\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-chang.gif\" \/>Jane Chang has been appointed Director of Human Resources. Chang has been working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and has held senior position in human resources and other management position with several leading hotel brands. InterContinental Shenzhen is her fourth opening. Prior to joining InterContinental Shenzhen, she was the Director of Operations and Human Resources of Grand Pacific Suites Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" title=\"David Jamieson\" id=\"image2695\" alt=\"David Jamieson\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-jamieson.gif\" \/>Born in Tasmania, Australia, David Jamieson is the Director of Rooms at the hotel. He ran his own 18 bedroom bed and breakfast inn at a youthful age. After several successful years, he returned to continue his pursuit of a hotel management degree. Soon after, he was a management trainee of Hilton International and had the opportunity to train in various hospitality disciplines in Seoul and Tokyo. Jamieson also has hands-on experience of revenue management. Prior to his appointment, he was the Director of Business Development of Hilton Cebu Resort &#038; Spa in Philippines.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" title=\"Jean-Marie Pougnet\" id=\"image2696\" alt=\"Jean-Marie Pougnet\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/061204-icsz-pougnet.gif\" \/>Jean-Marie Pougnet is the Executive Chef at the hotel. He has more than 20 years experience in the field of culinary arts and is well-traveled. His passion led him to discover the cuisines of Australia, continental Europe, France, Italy, America and Asia. He started as an apprentice in his home country of France and has won gold in a variety of culinary competitions.
