{"id":34312,"date":"2006-12-25T09:34:24","date_gmt":"2006-12-25T01:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2006\/12\/25\/spring-airlines-chooses-sanya-as-second-base\/"},"modified":"2006-12-25T09:34:24","modified_gmt":"2006-12-25T01:34:24","slug":"spring-airlines-chooses-sanya-as-second-base","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2006\/12\/25\/34312\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring Airlines Chooses Sanya As Second Base"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wang Zhenghua, president of Shanghai Spring International Travel Service Company, says that its subsidiary Spring Airlines has chosen Sanya as its second base and plans to increase its Hainan lines to 13 in 2007.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Spring Airlines was launched by Shanghai Spring last year, but with its speedy development, the busy Hongqiao Airport could no longer meet its bustling needs, and it began to look for a second base.<\/p>\n<p>A number of travel cities including Haikou, Sanya, Kunming, Dali, Guilin and Xiamen were listed as candidates, but finally Hainan was selected because the company believes that it is only next to Shanghai in the order of importance in the company's market layout. The preparation team for the second base of Spring Airlines held discussions with Sanya Phoenix Airport and Haikou Meilan International Airport on land use, plane maintenance, talent training and taxation payment. Through six rounds of negotiation, they decided to choose Sanya Phoenix Airport as their second base.<\/p>\n<p>Spring Airlines plans to construct the second base in two steps.
