The company believes that the issuing of the bond will make it possible for the company to get financing at an interest rate lower than commercial bank loans, thus lowering financing costs.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A meeting of the 4th board of directors gave the consent to the motion and will submit for deliberation to the 2004 shareholders meeting scheduled for June 30, 2005.<\/p>\n<p>The airline decided to issue the bond to pay off the debt for buying a large number of Boeing and Airbus aircraft to complement their current large fleet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China Eastern Airlines plans to issue US$241 million worth of short-term financing bonds.
