Platford was most recently Executive Assistant Manager of Sofitel Melbourne. After rejoining Accor in 2001, Platford initially worked with the Australian Sales  and  Marketing office and was later appointed Manager of the Hotel Ibis Melbourne. <\/p>\n<p>Joseph Mak has been named General Manager of Sofitel Zhengzhou. Mak joined Accor in 2000 as Resident Manager at Novotel Peace Beijing and he was most recently Hotel Manager for Sofitel International Hotel Anshan during its pre-opening preparation.<\/p>\n<p>Ron Podlas has recently rejoined Accor to be General Manager of Novotel Baiyun Airport Guangzhou in China. The Novotel Baiyun Airport Guangzhou is scheduled to open October 2005. Podlas originally started with the company in 1995 as General Manager of the Sofitel Hotel in Phnom Penh Cambodia and later worked for the group in both Thailand and the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Francis Wang is the new General Manager of Panorama Century Court Shanghai. Wang is the first Chinese national to be named manager of an Accor hotel.
