Tam's key focus is on strategic growth and pre-opening activities for Le M\u00e9ridien She Shan Shanghai, which is scheduled to open this November.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tam&amp;nbsp;will also be responsible for the recruitment and opening activities for Le Royal M\u00e9ridien Shanghai scheduled to open in middle of 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Tam&amp;nbsp;hails from Hong Kong and began his hospitality career in 1994 and progressed to various management positions with an international chain hotel in Hong Kong. He also has experience in opening hotels in Hong Kong and Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>In 2002&amp;nbsp;Tam joined Le M\u00e9ridien Cyberport, Hong Kong as pre-opening project manager, and subsequently became the hotel's human resource manager.<\/p>\n<p>With more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry,&amp;nbsp;Tam has a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le M\u00e9ridien Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Michael Tam as Executive Assistant Manager for Le M\u00e9ridien She Shan Shanghai.
