A spokeswoman with the airline says the arrest was related to the company's $133 million investment loss connected with failed Hantang Securities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Financial problems were discovered during the latest audit of accounts at the parent firm, sources told media in July.<\/p>\n<p>The funds that were lost had been held by Hantang Securities, which was seized in September 2004 by the China Securities Regulatory Commission as part of an ongoing effort to clean up the country's troubled brokerage sector.<\/p>\n<p>Peng is also deputy general manager of the carrier's state parent.
