{"id":34696,"date":"2005-08-18T00:21:33","date_gmt":"2005-08-17T16:21:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2005\/08\/18\/shangri-la-plans-china-operations-consolidation\/"},"modified":"2005-08-18T00:21:33","modified_gmt":"2005-08-17T16:21:33","slug":"shangri-la-plans-china-operations-consolidation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2005\/08\/18\/34696\/","title":{"rendered":"Shangri-La Plans China Operations Consolidation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"60\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/images\/shangrila_logo_120x60.gif\" width=\"120\" align=\"right\">Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is to consolidate all its mainland China operational activities in a new regional office in Shanghai on September 1, 2005.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Located in Tower One of Pudong Shangri-La, the new Shanghai regional office will include all departments dedicated to the group's existing 19 China properties as well as projects under development.<\/p>\n<p>Shanghai is an ideal city for us to establish a regional operations base, said Symon Bridle, Shangri-La's chief operating officer. The city offers a sophisticated infrastructure, superb communications and a strategic location in China.
