Chinese government, Italian community members and local media were invited to celebrate their stay in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the great traveler Marco Polo and to express respect to him, four Italian motorcyclists departed from Sofitel Venice (Italy) to Novotel Oasis Beijing hotel on August 1. They traveled 15,000 KM in 48 days and arrived to Novotel Oasis Beijing on Sept. 18.<\/p>\n<p>The four travelers were Michele Orlando, Carlo Mascarin, Maurizio Pistore and Maurizio Benvenuti.<br \/>&amp;nbsp;<br \/>The participants wanted to give the Marco Polo Motoraid 2005 a charitable dimension by collecting donations for the Pediatric Hospital San Gregorio Illuminatore located in Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>The welcome reception hosted by the Novotel Oasis Beijing was a highlight for the upcoming China and Italy Friendship Year.
