{"id":34968,"date":"2005-11-28T22:43:40","date_gmt":"2005-11-28T14:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2005\/11\/28\/caac-saves-travelers-money-with-postponed-airline-fuel-surcharges\/"},"modified":"2005-11-28T22:43:40","modified_gmt":"2005-11-28T14:43:40","slug":"caac-saves-travelers-money-with-postponed-airline-fuel-surcharges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2005\/11\/28\/34968\/","title":{"rendered":"CAAC Saves Travelers Money With Postponed Airline Fuel Surcharges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"60\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/images\/caac_logo_120x60.gif\" width=\"120\" align=\"right\">The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has postponed fuel surcharges, saying the fee collection date will be moved from December 31, 2005 until March 31, 2006.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>CAAC also says the amount of surcharge will not be increased, as earlier rumored.<\/p>\n<p>The constant increase of oil prices is the main reason that CAAC and the State Development and Reform Commission have made the decision to postpone the fee collection date and to keep the fee standard unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>The surcharge will cost airlines RMB20 per passenger for routes less than 800km and RMB40 per passenger for lines over 800km.
