Les Roches Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College welcomed its first intake of 80 students on September 24th at their campus at the Shanghai Normal University's Fengxian campus. The forty male and forty female students come from 16 cities and provinces from China, ranging in age from 17 to 36.<\/p>\n

Licenced by the Shanghai Education Bureau, the College is offering an eighteen-month program of study including six months of intensive English Language studies. All courses are taught in English. Upon completion of the academic program, students will undertake a ten-month internship in the hotel industry.<\/p>\n
English Language classes are now underway, and students will move into the new College facility upon successful completion of that program. The new 7,000 square meter air-conditioned facility will be amongst the finest hospitality hotel schools in Asia, boasting academic as well as practical classrooms, including an extensive teaching kitchen, pastry, training restaurants, hotel front desk, language classes and state-of-the-art library. <\/p>\n
Upon successful completion of the Shanghai program, students will have two options. Graduates may enter into the domestic hotel industry directly, with the assistance of the College's Career Development and Industry Placement Department, who will liaise with the top international groups in China to secure suitable positions. Graduates may also choose to continue their studies at Les Roches in Switzerland. As the Shanghai program is the same as the first two years taught in Switzerland, students who continue their studies in Switzerland will directly enter into the third year program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
