China visitors accounted for 55 percent of the total, it said. The city had 9,078 hotel rooms at the end of October, 2 percent more than the same month in 2003, it said.<\/p>\n<p>In the first 10 months of 2004, the former Portuguese enclave had 3.26 million hotel guests, up 36 percent from a year earlier, the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>Macau hosted 1.51 million visitors in October, up more than a third from a year ago, the statistics bureau said Dec. 7. In the first 10 months, visitor arrivals rose 44.1 percent to 13.7 million, it said.
