And the number of inbound tourists to Chengdu was 579,700 and its revenue from travelers' foreign exchange increased by 14.77% to US$202 million in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>As of the first half year of 2007, its total tourism revenue achieved RMB19.4 billion and the tourists visiting Chengdu was 25.38 million, growing 15% compared with the same period of 2006.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the most popular tour destinations in the southwest area of China, Chengdu is becoming a prime market for high-end hotels who have come to welcome these visitors.
