{"id":9469,"date":"2008-12-18T05:31:43","date_gmt":"2008-12-17T21:31:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/en\/?p=9469"},"modified":"2008-12-18T05:31:43","modified_gmt":"2008-12-17T21:31:43","slug":"four-seasons-hotel-macau-cotai-strip-opens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2008\/12\/18\/9469\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Seasons Opens Cotai Strip Hotel In Macau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four Seasons Hotel Macau, Cotai Strip has opened in a new mixed-use lifestyle and entertainment complex featuring the hotel, serviced apartments, a high-end shopping mall, a boutique-sized casino, fine dining, and other entertainment options.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The hotel is designed by U.S.-based Hirsch Bedner Associates who say they were inspired by the ancient Portuguese history of Macau and the predominant Chinese culture in the enclave.<\/p>\n<p>Tracie Co, an associate from HBA's Hong Kong office stated that the new Four Seasons Hotel is a showstopper which encapsulates the rich culture and history of Macau like no other hotel in the enclave.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing influence from an old Colonial Portuguese house, the hotel has features throughout that evoke as sense of a grand residence and HBA has utilized a residential approach in the design of the interiors that aims to blend seamlessly with the building's architectural style.<\/p>\n<p>The design team spent considerable time researching the Macanese culture and Portuguese architectural influences as well as combing through local markets and antique shops.
