Air India Opens Nonstop Route From Delhi To Shanghai

Air India has announced that it is opening a nonstop route from Delhi to Shanghai, eliminated a stopover in Bangkok. The company also plans to open a Beijing to Delhi route over next year.

This new service will be conducted every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The flights will start from Shanghai at 22:00, arriving at Delhi at 02:00 following day then get to Bombay at 05:20; the return flight will leave from Bombay at 08:00, by-pass Delhi then arrive at Shanghai at 20:10 (all times are local time). The travel time from Shanghai to Delhi is around six hours and to Mumbai about nine hours.

Air India operates more than 400 flights daily to 120 destinations in India and with connections to 39 countries around the world. Four years ago, the company opened the route Shanghai-Bangkok-Delhi-Bombay.
