First Taiwan-funded International Travel Service Approved In Chinese Mainland

Xiamen Canxing International Travel Service, the first travel service provider to be established with investment from Taiwan, has been approved by the Chinese authorities.

According to local media, the travel service is wholly invested by Taiwan business Xiamen Cankui Industry Holding Company and has been approved by China's National Tourism Administration to provide international travel services in the Chinese mainland.

It is understood that Taiwan Canxing Travel Website Travel Agency, an affiliate of XCIHC, owns 112 travel outlets across Taiwan and its website is the largest of its kind in Taiwan, with 4.5 million members and a daily visit count of 200,000.

Xiamen Canxing International Travel Service is said to make full use of Xiamen's position as a connecting port for Taiwan and play the role of a tourism center, integrating travel resources of both sides of the strait, providing diversified travel products and promoting bi-lateral travel between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
