昆明洲际酒店于8月29日至31日组织了一场“怡爽春城之旅”2014买家考察活动，邀请了北京和上海的14家PCO代表飞赴昆明，充分体验酒店“都市桃源”的特色设施和服务，以及西南名城昆明的独特魅力。买家代表们于8月29日周五中午抵达酒店，在品尝了滇味午餐之后，便开始了充实而有趣的体验之旅，傍晚买家代表们在酒店园林中享受了池畔BBQ欢迎晚宴；周六是紧凑又愉快的一天，上午代表团一行骑自行车游览了就在酒店旁的滇池海埂大坝，尽览“高原明珠”及“睡美人”西山美景，中午在车水马龙闹市一隅的亭台楼阁间享用了精致的酒店外送午餐，下午参观完汇聚云南各个少数民族人文风情的云南民族村之后，回到酒店，在“香堡”法餐厅的参加西式宴会。短暂的三天两夜，买家代表们充分的感受了酒店“都市桃源”的特色以及对于大型会议会务活动的接待能力，同时也意犹未尽的体会了春城昆明的魅力。
