Scenic Spots From Mainland China To Hold Promotions In Taiwan

News from the China Landscape and Historic Sites Association is that representatives of more than 100 scenic spots from the Chinese mainland will go to Taiwan to hold campaigns this year and hold a tourism culture and exchange event with Taipei.

Zhao Baojiang, director of CLHSA, said that with the launch of the Three Direct Links — the direct links in post, transportation and trade between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan — there are more channels and demands for communications and exchanges between the two. At Taiwan's invitation, representatives from these scenic spots will go to Taiwan in September to showcase the mainland's landscape and tourism resources.

The First China Cross-strait Landscape and Tourism Culture Exchange Event will feature discussions on tourism culture; exhibitions of landscapes and tourism culture; and discussions on landscape from the two sides.
