California Opens China Office

The California Travel & Tourism Commission has formally launched its representative offices in China to introduce California's tourism resource to Chinese consumers and increase the awareness of their travel products among Chinese consumers and the Chinese hospitality industry.

China Sets Goals For Tourism Industry

China has set goals for its tourism development in 2009 and aims at receiving 1.85 billion tourists for domestic travel, 50 million for outbound travel, 132 million tourists for inbound travel and a total tourism income of CNY1.23 trillion.

Beijing's Inbound Tourist Numbers Decreased By 14.4% In October

Statistics from the Beijing Municipal Tourism Bureau for inbound tourists staying overnight in Beijing in October 2008 show that the number of overseas tourists visiting Beijing decreased, while the number of tourists from the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan markets increased to different degrees from the same period of last year.
